Woodshop Supervisor

Job description

Our client in the closet manufacturing industry is looking for a reliable Shop Supervisor to join their team ASAP!!.

Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday- Friday

Pay: $54,000 - $70,000 Per Year (Based on experience)

Location: Burnaby, BC

Roles:

Provide strong leadership for the shop, work well with the team, teambuilding
Oversee daily work of employees and assign duties based on monthly production goal
Skill training of existing shop staff and new recruits
Ensure to meet weekly production schedule completion in 40 hrs. and avoid overtimes when possible
Review work completed to ensure it is up to quality standard (QC)
Review installation schedule daily to assure that Go backs and add on are ready
Weekly GS&R with Siamak to review shop flow, problems, and solutions to keep UBL below budget.
Responsible to oversee maintenance of all machinery and tools.
Inspect, clean, and fix shop equipment and machinery as necessary or request for a technician
Able to address problem and solve it before it affects the shop flow
Prepare daily installers request for parts as fast as possible (Get A New Part Made)
Maintain inventory of consumable such as cleaning products, assembly hardware, machinery maintenance requirement products
Goals:

Low level of unplanned turnover
Achieve monthly production $$ goal based on CC BC 4.0 2021 Production Budget
Ensure that shop orders are 100% completed at least 3 days ahead of installation date
Each Production Team Member certified in at least two workstations
Manage shop labor based on CC BC 4.0 PB with max OT at 5%
Quality metrics to be established (Review weekly shop related defect report and terminate the root cause)
UBL based on the CC BC 4.0 Production
Review and maintain monthly shop cost below 5% with Siamak
Work with other department to get Go-Backs to less than 15%

Pay Rate: 25.96 - 33.65
