Our Client in Packaging Industry is searching for an expert Material Handler / Forklift Operator to join their diverse team in Renton, Washington and potentially being hired Permanently

Operate a variety of equipment to load, unload and move materials and products. Pick orders and stock. Make labels and attach them to goods. Crate goods. Maintain and organize the inventory. Operate computerized inventory control systems
Candidates will be trained on day shift for two weeks (6:00am – 2:00pm) $19.00 per hour
Then move to their shifts once training is completed.
Shift 1 – {6:00 am – 2:00 pm} = $19.00 per hour
Shift 2 – {2:00 pm – 10:00 pm} = $19.00 + $1.50 premium = $20.50 per hour
Shift 3 – {10:00 pm – 6:00 am} = $19.00 + $2.00 premium = $21.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Candidate will keep conveyors moving sheets along as the stack delivers out of the machine
Checking quality to ensure product meets specifications
Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or using basic material handling equipment
Perform other material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing, and unpacking
Operate winches and other loading devices to load and unload materials onto and off trucks, railway cars, and loading docks of warehouses and industrial establishments
Operate industrial trucks, tractors, loaders, and other equipment to transport materials to and from transportation vehicles and loading docks and to store and retrieve materials in warehouses
May perform other activities, such as opening containers and crates, filling warehouse orders, assisting in taking inventory, and weighing and checking materials
Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents
Record shortages and reject damaged goods
Unpack, code, and route incoming goods to the appropriate storage area
Prepare bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documents
Record all inventory discrepancies to appropriate personnel
Verify production always has the required materials
Perform inventory counts to ensure inventory accuracy
Other Duties, But Not Limited To
Maintain and clean working area
Check computer systems for material locations and inventory status
Other duties as decided by the supervisor
Qualifications
Valid forklift certification
Quality control experience an Asset
Production equipment operating experience
Experience in Aerator is an Asset
Physical strength is required for manual material handlers who work with heavy materials
Forklift Operators and Pallet Jack operators experience an asset
Previous experience in Packaging industry an asset
Knowledge of WHMIS and hazardous goods
Able to operate a computer
Strong written and verbal communication
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Reading and writing skills
Excellent organizational skills
Working Conditions
Candidates will be Trained on Day Shift for 2 weeks (6:00 am – 2:00 pm) 40 hours / Week
Shift premium for afternoon and overnight shifts
Fast-paced packaging environment
Physically demanding
Frequent standing, bending, walking, and stretching
