Asphalt Machine Operator

Job description

Our client in the construction industry is looking for reliable hard working Machine Operators to start ASAP!!.

Pay- $25 Per hour

Hours - 7:00am to 5:00pm Monday-Friday

Duties and Responsibilities:

Follow company policy and safety policy.
Perform highly complex and difficult construction and maintenance activities by operating a variety of heavy equipment.
Prior to operating equipment and trucks, conducts routine inspections to identify needed maintenance or repairs.
Notifies shop of any required maintenance, fills out vehicle inspections reports daily.
Perform a wide range of physical labor tasks.
Prepares area where work will take place by measuring, marking, or recording distances.
Operates a wide variety of hand and power tools, direct traffic and assist with equipment maintenance.
Ability to follow directions and perform other related duties as assigned.
Being available for 24/7 emergency call-ins. Respond quickly to calls and electronic communications
Licenses/Certifications and Experience:
2–3 years experience operating heavy equipment
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Vocational school training or apprenticeship preferred
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to traverse worksite in different types of weather and bend, climb, stretch, reach, and lean to make inspections.
Must maintain CDL driving privileges in keeping with company policy and insurance providers guidelines.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Some travel may be required.
Training:

CPR/First Aid
Defensive Driving
Flagging
